Formal Order won his first two starts over timber including a Listed race. That was two years ago and he's changed stables though a run on the Flat last month should have blown a few cobwebs away. Gordon Elliott has two entries with PATS CHOICE looking the one to beat. A winning bumper, he had a frustrating run in maiden hurdles before winning one at Navan last month and an opening mark of 116 looks manageable. The stable's Daisy Dufresne landed a Sligo maiden in July and hasn't been running badly in handicaps. Archies Charm was in winning form over fences a year ago and is on a 6lb lower mark over timber but has a long absence to overcome. Mandarin Monarch is only 1lb higher than his victory at Navan in March though that was on heavy ground and he's changed stables. Hgranca De Thaix hasn't run since January but his stable is in good form.
