Verdict

A disappointing turnout but an interesting race nevertheless. Rawnaq shouldn't be long winning again but has to concede weight due to his excellent form of last summer when he completed a hat-trick. Courtncatcher is in superb form but is also penalised for his two recent victories over further and it's difficult to see him conceding weight to either FLAXEN FLARE or Plinth. The former started a short-priced favourite when the pair met at Cork, despite it being his first start since April, but he had just been joined by Aidan O'Brien's four-year-old when falling at the second last. It's impossible to predict what would have happened but Gordon Elliott's charge is taken to make amends.
