Verdict

SMILER (NAP) won this a year ago and Mikey O'Connor looks to have plotted a repeat. The eight-year-old hasn't had much racing subsequently and showed that his turn is near with a narrow defeat on the Flat at Roscommon a month ago. Lilly The Lioness would have won over fences at Tipperary but for a last-fence fall and ran well in a better race at Cork though she's not as well handicapped over hurdles. Seeyouallincoppers is very consistent but can't get his head in front and keeps going up in the weights. The four-year-old Copy That won a Tipperary maiden but was then beaten in a handicap so Morga looks the main threat as she carried a big weight to victory at Ballinrobe and is young enough to make further progress.
