Verdict

This has been won by some smart performers including Don Cossack and his trainer Gordon Elliott is represented by Captain Von Trappe here. A winning point-to-pointer and hurdler, he made a reasonable start over fences at Punchestown earlier this month where he gave the impression there would be much more to come. If there is to be another useful chaser to emerge from the race it could be SALSA SENSATION as Ted Walsh' winning point-to-pointer did well over hurdles as chasing was always going to be his game and he's taken to make a successful debut over fences. Caledon Craic didn't win over timber but performed with credit and started off over fences with a moderate effort over a trip too short. Millstream Ned fell on his only start over the bigger obstacles in May but has scored over hurdles subsequently.
