In depth

Verdict

Aidan O'Brien has won the last two of these so expect a much better showing from Sweet Molly Malone than on her debut at Leopardstown where she finished last of seven. ANGEL PALM started favourite for that event and, though never really looking like taking a hand ,stayed on nicely and will have come on markedly for the experience. She can reverse form with third-placed Meala, who had the benefit of a previous outing. Dermot Weld has a fine record in the race and Umneyaat will have been earmarked for this after an encouraging start in very testing ground at Gowran. Oh So Fine wasn't fancied at the Curragh a month ago but ran well enough in what looked a hot maiden but Winter Oasis and Valour may need to find a bit more in this company and it's a big ask for the newcomer Bondi Dreams, though she's related to three winners.
