Verdict

Plough Boy arrives here with a 5lb penalty after completing a double with a win at Down Royal but he was receiving weight from runner-up ART SCENE when scoring at Tipperary earlier. The latter has yet to show the same level of form on soft ground but in the hope he's suited he's handed the vote. George Baker has won seven times for his trainer though never on ground with some give so he's facing a tough task with a big weight. Credit The Giver is thrown in at the deep end after three maiden runs, the latest in April of last year, but Northern Surprise is in excellent form, acts in the ground and is by no means harshly treated.
