Verdict

CLONDAW FARMER looked a potentially useful staying prospect when running on nicely over this trip at Fairyhouse in April and, with further progress likely, can take this before heading for hurdling. Blue Owen has gone well in his last two starts and only succumbed late on at Killarney, as did Jamesmichael on the same track. The latter was headed right on the line and Derek O'Connor's stronger handling will ensure he has a big chance. Port Rock is improving fast and made a positive start at Down Royal but a bigger threat may arrive in the shape of That's Nice, who couldn't quite get to Collen Beag over 2m at Limerick. Rosetub will get plenty of assistance from the saddle though she's now had eight starts without winning.
