Verdict
Dutch Connection bids for back-to-back victories in this but doesn’t arrive in the same form as 12 months ago and was behind Spirit of Valor, So Beloved, Stormy Antarctic and Cougar Mountain in the Minstrel Stakes at the Curragh last month. Aidan O’Brien’s three-year looks a danger to all again while Librisa Breeze ran a tremendous race on his reappearance in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Ascot. However, he was still a length-and-a-quarter behind LIMATO (NAP), who is better drawn today. Henry Candy’s subsequent July Cup second won the Group 1 Prix De La Foret at Chantilly last year over this trip and can belatedly open his account for the season. Home Of The Brave holds a few of these on the form book but has been found wanting when tried in this grade in the past but Aclaim could go well reunited with Frankie as he looks to have a decent draw.
