    Verdict

BATTAASH bids to win this for the third time in succession having landed the odds in last year’s renewal and will take all the beating once again. Clear at the weights, he’s penalised for winning the Temple Stakes in May before finishing runner-up in the Group 1 King’s Stand at Ascot and is difficult to oppose on these terms. El Astronaute won a Listed event at Cork in June though came up short at this level last time while Copper Knight picked-up a Listed sprint at York recently and Rebecca Rocks took another step forward when successful in Listed company at Ayr. Rumble Inthejungle won the Molecomb over track and trip at last year’s fixture though hasn’t scored since but the unexposed French raider Big Brothers Pride could go well having beaten fellow three-year-olds in a Group 3 contest at Chantilly.
