      Verdict

      It's difficult to pick holes in the form of CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT and he may well be good enough to defy his penalty. He gained an overdue first success at Beverley last month and will have no problem here with the extra furlong. Mezel didn't appear to handle the camber here last time and that must be a worry today but he still makes more appeal than Mick Channon's pair Memory Styx and Deeds Not Words. Crowdmania has proved expensive to follow but Expert deserves respect having finished fourth in Listed company last time, though may not be suited by the drop back to 6f.
