Verdict
NOSTRUM's only defeat in four came behind Chaldean in the Dewhurst and he made a very impressive reappearance when making all in a Listed contest at Newmarket. He hasn't run in today's conditions unlike Docklands, who has won two handicaps over Ascot's straight mile including very easily on soft ground in the spring. Bold Discovery had twice finished behind Paddington at the Curragh before a surprise victory in a Listed race there and he'll have no problems with the going. Epictetus won an Epsom Listed race on soft ground and has been racing in stronger company on faster going.
