    Verdict

Mick Channon has won all three previous renewals but Sir Gordon will need a big improvement for being gelded judged on a moderate debut effort. PAPER STAR makes most appeal having placed in all three outings so far and there was cut in the ground when she finished runner-up at Hamilton last time. Archie Watson’s filly is preferred to Beignet, who also finished second at Brighton on her debut but has failed to build on that subsequently. Isobar Wind is creeping closer without yet threatening while Fact Or Fable’s recent efforts have been in France though he handles soft going and is preferred to stablemate and newcomer Sooty's Return.
