      Verdict

      C'Est No Mour is only 2lb higher than when scoring over 1m4f at Lingfield in December but hasn’t raced since. Thai Terrier won over 2m1f at Carlisle but wasn’t beaten over this track and trip the time before. ISPAHAN (NAP) certainly wasn’t winning out of turn at Brighton and had been holding his own in better company previously. He can go on to better things now he’s got his head in front. Amazing Red is no mug but this may be an insufficient test of stamina nowadays for Speedo Boy.

      Ispahan 11-10fav (9-7) Steadied start, held up last, gained a place 5f out, headway out wide chasing leaders over 3f out, hung left over 2f out, ridden to lead and hung left final furlong, soon clear, eased towards finish, won at Brighton 1m 4f hcp (4) gd in May beating Psyche (9-3) by 4l, 6 ran.
