A 10lb rise for his latest success at Ripon leaves Borderlescott with more to do but such is the form of Robin Bastiman's gelding that he is taken to defy the rise in the weights and is preferred to Fullandby and Ocean Gift. The last mentioned stayed on well when landing a course and distance handicap last month and has to be respected but is now 6lbs higher. Kingscross is creeping up in the weights despite not winning and of more interest may be the Brooke Sanders-trained Jayanjay, who has slipped to a fair mark and ran up to his best at Epsom behind Texas Gold at Epsom last time. Desperate Dan is less exposed than most and may be open to improvement, while Idle Power has a good record here and cannot be ruled out. The three-year-old Fullandby has done little wrong of late and may still be improving but his form does not match that of Borderlescott, who is taken to complete a hat-trick.
