In depth

Elysium Dream’s best form has come over this trip and she’s dropped to a fair mark so goes on the short-list. Quick Breath has won on Turf but the recent Kempton winner’s best form has come on Polytrack. De Vegas Kid made a winning reappearance at Brighton but his last three wins have come at that track and he much prefers faster ground. SALT WHISTLE BAY will be very much at home in conditions, however, and can get back to winning ways having only found one too good the last twice.

Jackpot Royale 12-1 (9-10) Raced keenly, tracked leaders on outside, pushed along and weakened over 2f out, 9th of 10, 28l behind Infanta Isabella (9-5) at Newbury 1m hcp (4) sft in Jun.

Elysium Dream 8-1 (9-1) Tracked leader, every chance over 1f out, weakened final furlong, 4th of 5, 4 1/4l behind Victory Wave (10-7) at Chelmsford City 1m hcp fll (2) pol in Jun.

Quick Breath 4-1fav (9-6) Mid-division, shaken up and headway on inside 2f out, soon challenged, ridden to lead 1f out, quickened clear inside final furlong, ran on, won at Kempton 7f hcp (5) pol in Jun beating Choral Music (9-5) by 2 1/4l, 14 ran.
