      Verdict

      A competitive event, with 8lb covering the whole field on official ratings. Hannibal Lad, has faced some stiff tasks of late and will struggle to confirm Nottingham running with Aquarius, on 8lb worse terms. If Xtra is fit he looks the one to beat. He finished last year with a close up 5th, in the Great Voltiger at York behind subsequent St Leger winner Milan and a reproduction of that, will be more than good enough here. Prize Winner may prove to be the biggest threat, if Xtra is not fully wound up.
