Verdict

Only a half-length separated Storm The Stars and Medrano in the Chester Vase earlier this month but neither threatened the winner. Newmarket winner Best Of Times and Dee Stakes third Prince Gagarin both carry penalties but the former has now won his last three and may still be on an upward curve. He makes more appeal than Pontefract winner Glan Y Gors and the maiden Great Glen. MR SINGH (NAP) had the form of his Newbury victory boosted when the runner-up ran out a comfortable winner at the same track next time. Given the strength of his yard's Derby entries, it's significant that the High Chaparral colt is still engaged in the Epsom classic and he can boost his chances of taking part by landing this.
