Verdict

Subsequent St Leger third Michelangelo won this two years ago and a few of these have some fancy entries over the coming weeks. Postponed is still in the Investec Derby but that looks optimistic as he was behind Barley Mow in a similar contest at Newmarket earlier this month, though is 3lb better off now. Marzocco was only beaten a head in the Derby Trial at Epsom and appears to have the beating of fourth Signposted. He has more scope than Barley Mow and Snow Trouble but OBSERVATIONAL looks one to follow this season on his second to Sudden Wonder in a valuable sales race at Newmarket. The pair pulled clear of a host of previous winners and the extra yardage is certain to suit Roger Charlton's colt.
