Verdict
Three-year-olds have a poor record in this but the trio at the bottom of the weights represents the younger brigade and look to have outstanding chances. ALEX MY BOY is on a hat-trick and deserves a crack at this level after a very impressive victory in a strong handicap at Musselburgh. He's progressing well enough to make the step up in grade though Forever Now was having just his fourth start when performing with credit in a Newmarket Group 3 and should get into the mix. Kings Fete was chasing a hat-trick when runner-up to Double Bluff in a very competitive handicap over 1m4f here, staying on strongly enough to suggest this trip will suit. Songcraft looks best of the older contingent as he returned from a successful spell at Meydan to run well in a Group 3 here at the beginning of the month and he'll be spot-on with that under his belt. Biographer has been racing in better company and is no forlorn hope despite poor form figures.
