        Verdict

        It was a real slogging match when Gilded Age beat BLAZING FIELD into third place on soft ground at Newbury but the latter was returning from a break and can reverse the form and take this. Mohanad stays well and has a couple of hurdles victories to his credit but is 9lb higher than when last winning on the Flat. Astromagick is a lightly-raced type who should do well in staying handicaps this season while High Samana has been going reasonably well over timber and makes a quick reappearance after running at Newton Abbot on Monday.
