    Verdict

Sabrina Harty has sent last month's Curragh winner Ansgar over for this and his chance is respected, though a penalty won't help his cause. Professor has to go on the short-list as he was fourth in a Group 2 last time, though he was behind stablemate Indignant over 6f at Salisbury in June. The latter is a consistent performer at this level but is closely matched with the three-year-old Muteela on their run together here at the start of the month. The rains may not arrive in time for Tawhid to take his chance but Godolphin have a viable option in STEELER (NAP). Charlie Appleby's colt has won two of his three starts on this track and run very well in a couple of valuable handicaps this summer under big weights. He looks more than capable of holding his own back at this level as he is a former Group 2 winner.
