      Verdict

      Spinola put up a very pleasing effort on his debut, going down in a three-way photo at Ripon, and is sure to go close with that run under his belt. His form looks far superior to Just Say Yes, and he may have more to fear from a newcomer. The obvious alternative is Bijoux, from a stable which has been churning out two-year-old winners with regularity and who is bred to appreciate this trip.
