Verdict

POETIC FLARE seems versatile as regards the ground having gone close in testing going in the Irish 2000 Guineas back in May. He’s still improving judged on an impressive display in the St James’s Palace last time. Alcohol Free beat Snow Lantern in the Coronation Stakes at Ascot before the Hannon filly reversed running to land the Falmouth at Headquarters and that pair are hard to separate. Lope Y Fernandez finished ahead of stablemate Order Of Australia when runner-up in the Queen Anne but Ryan Moore prefers the latter on this occasion. The progressive Tilsit beat Century Dream and Space Traveller when winning the Summer Mile at Ascot and will handle the going but Chindit has plenty to find with the selection and the French raider Duhail is a Group 2 winner upped in class.
