        Verdict

        No doubt that this will turn out to be an interesting maiden, with Sharaby given the nod over Rumbalara, Miss l'Augeval and Something Exciting. The selection ran with a lot of promise when third to Park Law at Kempton on her debut. Normal improvement on that should see her go well today and, with the winner having gone on to run fairly well in a Listed race, the form looks ok. Miss l'Augeval looked very green when finishing second on her debut and didn't look entirely straightforward but she still ran with a lot of promise to finish fourth. Today's extra furlong should suit her and she looks set to go well. Something Decent ran well on her Newbury debut, so has to be considered while John Gosden's 70,000 guineas, Rumbalara, is one of the newcomers that catches the eye. Gosden also trains Park Law, so will have a handle on the form of the race. The well-bred Barry Hills runner, Ceiriog Valley - although his son Michael rides Midcap for him, Richard Hannon's pair Ellens Princess and Love Affair, and Mark Johnston's Mary Gray, who is related to a number of winner, looked green on her Catterick debut and should improve for that run, are others to watch for in the betting, which should be viewed with interest here but, overall, we will stick with Sharaby.
