      Verdict

      OPEN THE RED ran well for third behind Dartmouth in a much tougher contest over track and trip. He gets the nod with an apprentice's allowance further helping his cause. Perceus went close in a Class 4 event here in June and collateral form gives him the beating of Making Shapes while Ella's Honour steps up in distance after winning easily at Newcastle last time and can also figure. Silver Quay has something to find off his current mark and Flighty Filia makes her handicap debut but looks her yard's second string behind the selection.
