In depth

Verdict

RAINFALL didn't run as a juvenile but made up for lost time last season winning the Group 3 Jersey Stakes and a Listed event, both at Ascot. She signed off with a close third in the Group 1 Sun Chariot Stakes and is the obvious choice if fit enough. Tropical Paradise came here and landed a pair of Group 3's over 7f last summer and though not exactly impressing on her return at Lingfield she will have come on for that run. Fontley is a useful handicapper who wasn't beaten far in Listed company at Sandown. She made a highly promising reappearance at Ascot and there is probably more to come from the daughter of Sadler's Wells. The Rectifier landed a Listed event at Windsor last summer though that was mainly down to a super ride from Micky Fenton and he hasn't been in that kind of form subsequently.
