Verdict
Richard Hannon has claimed the last three renewals and all three winners had either won or been placed in the Group 2 Superlative Stakes at Newmarket beforehand. But today's representatives have only minor maiden victories to their name and despite Richard Hughes choosing Toormore ahead of Expert, both have plenty of catching up to do to match PARBOLD's second in the Coventry at Ascot. That race isn't working out too well but Richard Fahey's colt finished well ahead of subsequent Newbury winner Lanark and should prevail. Rosso Corsa has a bit to find with the latter on latest running while Recanted finished last when quietly fancied in the Superlative earlier this month. Like both the Hannon runners, Outstrip is a maiden winner with something to prove at this level.
