Verdict
El Astronaute beat A Momentofmadness to win last year’s renewal with Poyle Vinnie, Pettochside, Line Of Reason and 2016 winner Boom The Groom all further behind. But he’s 10lb higher this time round while Copper Knight won at Newcastle before struggling off a higher mark at Ascot last time. Paddy Power and Baron Bolt won lower grade sprints at York and Epsom respectively on their latest starts while Duke Of Firenze has slipped down the weights this year though usually saves his best for York nowadays. But JUST GLAMOROUS has also slid own the handicap since landing a Listed sprint at Ascot last autumn and a chance is taken on Ron Harris’ charge returning to his best today given the ground will be fast enough for stablemate Under The Covers.
