In depth

Verdict

The superbly-bred Celtic High King produced a shock-but-comfortable victory in a Leopardstown maiden before finishing last on heavy going in the Group 1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud. Johnny Murtagh is in excellent form and So Suave got well on top in the closing stages over 7f at Dundalk and the extra is certain to suit. In From The Cold progressed with every run last season and reappeared to land a premier handicap at Naas in fine style while Psyche scored over the trip at Dundalk in November and is another making good progress. Thames River still looked in need of experience when scoring at Dundalk in October and should have grown up over the winter but this can go to FEMINISTA (NAP). Beaten a head on her return to action here last week, she was six lengths behind In From The Cold at Naas in November but is 14lb better off.
