Verdict

It's exactly two years since PATANNE finished a close third in heavy going at Cork where he started odds-on. The lack of a run won't be a problem and he's taken to start making up for lost time. Casual Approach finished runner-up between the flags in November and will have learnt plenty from his debut in a Fairyhouse bumper though he was behind Dramatic Event, who ran well to finish third. Improver was a 50/1 chance and beaten a long way on his debut at Down Royal but should live up to his name. Kinnitty Castle ran much better in what looked a strong event at Leopardstown and Sizing Matterhorn started favourite for his debut between the flags at Lisronagh but unseated his rider at halfway. Goaheadmakemyday was beaten a long way when runner-up here last month.
