Verdict

Peace N' Milan won this a year ago and is the only course and distance winner in the line-up so shouldn't be overlooked from 6lb higher. Hows Patsy is in the veteran stage but hasn't had much racing and was impressive at Limerick last month. A 9lb rise makes this tougher but he should go well again. Buckie Cullen beat a big field of maidens at Limerick and is progressing nicely while the four-year-old Flat To The Max found Grade 2 company beyond him after winning over the minimum here in November. Rovetta is a consistent performer on the Flat and over hurdles and will be suited by the step-up in trip but a chance is taken with the maiden KELLYISCOOL. He showed potential in big-field handicaps last summer and hasn't had much luck since transferring to Charles Byrne, slipping up at Tramore then his saddle slipping at Cork earlier this month. Surprise Tramore winner Secret Cargo would need to be respected if getting a run from his reserve spot.
