Verdict

A complex opener as all will depend upon the relative levels of improvement made by the majority of the field who have had just the one run. Nothing stands out on those initial efforts and it might be worth taking a chance with a newcomer, all of which hail from yards highly capable of readying one first time. The choice is CROCKFORD, a son of Camelot who should be well suited by starting off at this trip. Marshall Law also makes some appeal on paper as does the expensively-bought Yonkers. Smart Flies looks best of the Bolger duo and was the subject of good support of debut but it would come as no surprise should Christmas improve dramatically for a debut in which he was exceptionally green - the son of Galileo will surely show far more here.
