Verdict

One In A Milan was conceding Glibin 7lb when outbattling Colin Bowe's mare at Naas a fortnight ago but the runner-up can take revenge if waited with a bit longer. Beneficial Spirit is better known as a chaser these days but is on a fair mark and the veteran cross-country performer A New Story arrives here on a 30lb lower mark than over fences. Novarov showed his liking for a real stamina test at Navan and though put up 8lb it will be a surprise if he isn't competitive, but MICKS showed that his turn was near when staying on behind the in-form Irish Soul over 2m4f at Punchestown and the longer trip can enable this point-to-point winner to gain his first success under Rules. Clash Rebel showed major improvement at Down Royal and can get into the mix in an open event.
