Verdict
Rebel Early won this in 2020 when the ground was very testing and scored again on heavy going at Cork earlier this month. He's now on his highest ever mark but further rain would aid his cause. REBEL IVY also took advantage of heavy condition when scoring easily at Limerick. She's been handed a 10lb rise but Shane Fitzgerald can claim 2lb and his mount is progressing fast enough to defy the extra. Teescomponentsyess went to Limerick last month out of form but likes it there and won on testing going. He's been raised 7lb for this and Shane Fenelon claimed that amount that day and is only allowed 4lb here. Auckland dropped back to 2m on the latter track and ran his best race for some time though he'd shown at Punchestown earlier that this trip is no problem while Hostage To Fortune won over fences here in November before failing to take advantage of a much lower mark over hurdles. Poker Party, a top staying handicap chaser, is 28lb lower reverting to the smaller obstacles.
