Verdict

Monte Major ran better when finding Pegasus Dancer just a nose too good in a seller here last month and he has to be respected on that evidence but, without a win since June last year, he looks best watched and preference is for RANN NA CILLE, who gets the vote over Taboor. The last mentioned showed at Yarmouth in July that even at the age of 10, he is still capable of winning races and Robert Cowell's gelding remains on a fair mark only 2lbs higher. Rann Na Cille was only a length behind him that day though and is now 3lbs better in so the four-year-old is taken to reverse that form. Our Fugitive disappointed at Newmarket last time but has claims on earlier form, particularly on the Polytrack, so he has to be respected despite having to give weight away all round. Norma Macauley's Westwood Dawn has run well in two starts here last month and is another to consider but it is Rann Na Cille that gets the vote.
