Verdict
There is even less to go on in division two of the fillies¿ maiden and clearly both Moonbeam Dancer and Three Ducks have to be short listed on account of their experience, but we will take a chance with HALLINGDAL BLUE. Henry Cecil has a 50 per cent strike rate here with his juveniles, and he doesn't run too many here, so he clearly brings them when they have a chance. His runners are rarely wasted on artificial surfaces and this is a very nicely bred Halling filly, who should relish this trip as a starting point before being stepped up in time, but she might be good enough today. Moonbeam Dancer has a better pitch than the selection in stall two and has shown a bit of ability in finishing fourth twice, both over 9f at Wolverhampton. That experience will obviously be a plus, though David Simcock will be well aware that one more run will see her handicapped and that might be the way he is thinking. The same goes for Three Ducks, whose bare form suggests that she is probably the one to beat here, especially now stepped up to a mile, although Luca Cumani may well see this as a good opportunity to enhance her CV. Queens Flight has the pedigree to get involved over this trip on debut, and from a yard noted for its juveniles and is respected but we prefer the claims of another newcomer in Hallingdal Blue.
