In depth

Verdict

Bomber Command is our selection in a competitive affair with Fr Dominic and High Standing respected. John Hills' charge is a fairly tenacious type when push comes to shove and he exhibited this in spades when holding off Cha Cha Cha at Kempton two runs ago. Fr Dominic was highly tried on seasonal reappearance. He won a Newmarket maiden in fine style as a juvenile. High Standing has made hay from an unfeasibly low mark of 38 to where he stands at present. He was not disgraced at Newmarket and suggested that there may still be a little more room left for improvement. Binanti is a fair handicapper on his day although he needs a strong pace to be at his best. Gallantry has ran creditably on two recent starts on the turf. Captain Jacksparra receives little respite from the handicapper for his consistency. Prince Of Light has taken on better opposition than this in the past and makes an all-weather debut. Bomber Command looks the best bet at the likely odds.
