Victory Laurel has won three times in Italy, but an official mark of 103 can only be a guess by the handicapper. Well beaten in Listed company at Chantilly on his first start for Robert Cowell, he looks worth taking on. Sir Maximilian was raised 8lb for winning a handicap at Chester in May and Tangerine Trees makes more appeal in this sort of company. But HOPES N DREAMS saves her best for this track recording her sixth victory here in a similar contest in September. Kevin Ryan's mare gets the nod to come good once again. Bix is impossible to recommend but will pick up prize-money for finishing fifth.
