        Verdict

        Another wide open handicap here for punters to work out with very little between many of the leading fancies but the principals look to be Ulysees, Legal Set, Only One Legend, Tancred Times, and Flying Edge and the tentative vote goes to Ulysees. The selection caused a surprise when defeating Balakiref last time and under similar conditions he will be hard to beat despite his higher mark. Legal Set rates the main danger he was a good second behind Somerset West but that was in a seller and this looks tougher so he is opposed on this occasion. Only One Ledgend is another that could go well he is on a fair mark but he is hard to win with as he is usually held up off a fast pace but invariably finds traffic problems. Tancred Times was fourth behind Ulysees last time and is slightly better off at the weights but the selection won with a little in hand and is taken to confirm his superiority over that rival. Of the remainder Flying Edge is from a shrewd yard and is worth noting in the market but for the winner we return to Ulysees.
