        Verdict

        BURJ MALINKA has done all his winning here, including last week’s convincing success. He remains on a winning mark with today’s penalty negated by his rider’s allowance. The Gay Blade finished behind the selection having also been beaten by Giselles Izzy over track and trip before that but the latter remains 6lb higher. Gentle Ellen won at Carlisle three runs ago while Corinthia Knight has been threatening to take advantage of a slide down the weights.
