        Verdict

        Storm Ahead was beaten only a neck in a lower grade at Haydock last week and can race off the same mark while Star Shield finished runner-up at Redcar when ahead of Rousayan. David O’Meara’s charge can also figure but stablemate HORTZADAR faced a tough task at Ascot on his reappearance and having won in soft going off a higher mark at Ripon last year - he gets the vote. Toronado Queen remains unexposed and is preferred to the likes of Makthecat and Redarna with improvement expected for last month’s reappearance.
