        Verdict

        Genethni was good enough to make a winning debut in a Catterick seller in July and has to be respected here but Kevin Ryan's filly may have to settle for minor honours today, with preference for Duke Of Touraine who gets the vote over Royal Sovereign. The last mentioned takes a drop in class today and Howard Johnson's gelding has to be of interest at this level. The Michael Dods-trained Abbey Express has similar claims and rates a bigger threat than the more exposed Atephobia. Jazz Stick ran better here last time but may want a softer surface, while Elusive Lady probably needs to improve to take a hand. The vote then, in a moderate contest, goes to Pat Haslam's Duke Of Touraine, who takes a drop in class having run creditably in nurseries of late.
