Verdict
A tight handicap and none can be ruled out. King Of The Danes looked a smart prospect when scoring at Ascot and Goodwood a year ago but shot up the weights as a consequence and struggled though he's now back to just 3lb higher than his last success. SHOURANOUR had some fair form in Ireland and David O'Meara will be pleased with his debut for the yard at Newcastle. He's open to further improvement and could be good enough. Another For Joe had his stablemate Never Forever over 6l behind when gaining a very easy victory at Ayr but the assessor has had his revenge and he's now 11lb higher so it would be no shock if the positions were reversed. Lord Franklin wasn't suited to making the running in a three-horse race at Haydock and is better judged when coming with a late run to snatch the spoils there previously. Dakota Canyon ran his best race for some time at Carlisle and has scored from this mark in the past while Ellaal came with a late charge to score over a mile at Beverley and will enjoy the longer trip.
