      Verdict

      It's difficult to know what to make of STATE SOVEREIGNTY, who won a Catterick maiden by 19 lengths and makes her handicap debut - she's handed the vote as she could be anything. Indian Chief scored at Beverley early last month and has run two fine races subsequently but is now 10lb higher than that victory. Peterhouse has dropped to a mark he should be taking advantage of soon but the maiden Yensir keeps going up without winning. Haymarket wins plenty of races, though at a lower level, and though Falcon's Fire is the only course and distance winner in the line-up he hasn't been in the best of form.
