In depth

Verdict

It was soft ground when Mustaqbal made a winning reappearance at Haydock but he’s been raised 8lb for that success and runner-up Fleetfoot Jack may well reverse running on more favourable terms. JACOB BLACK had tumbled down the weights before ending a long losing run at Musselburgh on Thursday, his first start for new connections. He carries 6lb extra today but has won off much higher marks in the past and can go in again. Maifalki has been thereabouts on the all-weather recently while Cliff Bay and Reinforced have a shout making their seasonal debuts.
