      Verdict

      ALASKAN WING won a higher grade handicap at Catterick during the week and can shrug off a penalty in this. Pancake Day beat Perfect Peak at Leicester last month but failed to cope with a rise in the weights on his latest start and the latter may reverse running while Milady Eileen also disappointed at Redcar three weeks ago attempting to follow an earlier win over track and trip. Compton River has slipped down the weights but has yet to show any benefit and never threatened when third on his latest outing.
