        Verdict

        Ambitious Icarus appears to be facing a stiff task at the weights in this but the other seven runners all have claims. Jockey bookings appear to indicate that Jeannie Galloway is preferred to stablemate Chookie Avon and she probably needed last month's run at Newcastle. But the consistent HOPES N DREAMS could be ready strike after her latest third at Carlisle as she beat last year's third Barkston Ash over track and trip last season and is better off at the weights now. Roker Park wasn't beaten far in a big field at Chester on Saturday and looks the pick of the remainder.
