        Verdict

        Petergate made the frame in a handicap at Carlisle last time and should figure again in this company. Jacob Black was placed on his debut at Bath last year and has his first start for a new trainer but Darling Boyz has gone backwards since a debut third at Newcastle. Lynngale and Ice Mayden are both inconsistent and hard to fancy so TOM MANN will not need to improve much on February's introduction at Wolverhampton to figure - David Barron's charge gets the nod.
