In depth

Verdict

This looks pretty tight at the weights between the leading contenders. Postponed is a rare runner at the track for Luca Cumani and has every chance on his latest third in a Group 3 at Ascot behind Cannock Chase. Odeon was less impressive in Group company at Ascot last time but an earlier three length defeat in the Dante at York brings him into the equation. SUDDEN WONDER was a longshot in the Derby at Epsom and ran accordingly but had finished third in the Lingfield Derby Trial before that. Runner-up Hartnell has won twice since so Charlie Appleby's colt gets the vote on that form. Impulsive Moment makes most appeal of the remainder who all have some catching to do to figure.
