Verdict

Any rain would suit the returning Saint Equiano, who won a maiden race in soft ground at Ayr in October. But it could pay to stick with DANDY HIGHWAYMAN given Ollie Pears’ charge made a winning reappearance at Ripon when beating Suitcase ‘N’ Taxi a shade a cosily. The latter went on to win at Pontefract beating Springforth and Intense Romance so the form looks solid in the context. David O’Meara runs a couple of maiden winners in Muscika and Black Isle Boy but the former was well beaten at York on Wednesday.
